Arrived in Brazil in 2011 as correspondent for the French gouvernment Development Bank (Bpifrance). Since 2015, he is an investment manager for Business France in Brazil. He accompanies Brazilian investment projects in France. Previously, he worked in consulting companies for financing business innovation. Through his actions on Lei do Bem (equivalent to the Research Tax Credit in France), Has acquired a very good knowledge of the environment of innovative companies and means of financing in Brazil. In France, he worked with Coface and the Economic Missions in São Paulo.
ALEX KRELL – CANADIAN CONSULATE GENERAL
Alex Krell is the Trade Commissioner responsible for the Aerospace, Defence & Security sectors at the Consulate General of Canada in Sao Paulo. Mr. Krell joined the Consulate in 2009, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an MBA in International Trade and held leadership positions in multinational technology and manufacturing corporations, besides executive positions at sector associations and also at the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada.
MARCELO SÁFADI – PARQUE TECNOLÓGICO DE SÃO JOSÉ DOS CAMPOS
Graduated in civil engineering, with a postgraduate degree in air transportation and airports from ITA and several MBAs in the areas of strategy, economics and business, Marcelo Sáfadi joined the Technology Park of São José dos Campos in 2012 as manager. He currently serves as Planning Director of the Park.
MÁRCIO MIGON – BNDES
Márcio Migon holds a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, from COPPE/UFRJ, and a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering ITA. After working for 7 years as an airworthiness surveyor at the Brazilian CAA, he became maintenance director for a start-up operation under Brazilian regulations. Currently, he is the head of the Foreign Trade Office, focused on supporting Embraer’s foreign sales.

Graduated in mechanical engineering, postgraduate in Business Management by FDC and MBA in Business Management by FGV. Specialist in Lean concept by Shingijutsu / JP, responsible for the training of more than 2,000 people, has acted as participant and leader of more than 160Kaizens.University Professor and Specialization.18 years of Embraer career, working in several areas and leading projects. Responsible for the PDCA (National Chain Development Program), which aims to increase the competitiveness of the Brazilian aeronautical parts industry.
PAULO FRANKLIN – ICF
Paulo Franklin has been working for global corporations for more than twenty-seven years, encompassing fourteen years in leadership roles at Embraer´s commercial aviation and corporate strategy areas. He has hands-on experience in formulation and implementation of business and corporate strategies, business development and international expansion initiatives, diversification strategies and product positioning.
ROBERTO HONORATO – ANAC
Since 2008, he works for ANAC – the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency, currently as Airworthiness Superintendent. Before, worked for 10 years with avionics maintenance and supplemental type certificate.
He holds degrees in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University de Minas Gerais and post-graduation in Civil Aviation Management by University of Brasilia. Before join ANAC, he worked for ten years with avionics, maintenance and supplemental type certification.
He has been directly involved in topics such the regulation of remotely pilot aircraft systems, design organization approval, amateur building aircraft, safety management system. The Brazilian aircraft registry, international agreements on airworthiness, aircraft certification and maintenance, are also under his responsibilities.
WALTER BARTELS – AIAB
Became the President of the Aerospace Industries Association of Brazil in 1995. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from ITA – Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica and an Ingénieur Navigant D´Essais en Vol degree from École du Personnel Navigant D´Essais et Recèption in France.With more than 45 years of experience in aerospace sector, he started his career in Centro Técnico Aeroespacial (Brazil) in 1964 as Flight Test Engineer, Visiting Professor at ITA and Head of the Flight Test Division (Brazilian Flight Test Center). He joined the Embraer in 1976, as Aeronautical Engineering Division Manager, in 1981 became Program Manager and Chief Engineer of the AM-X Program. Worked as Vice-President of Governmental Programs and Contracts from 1989-1996, in charge of the AM-X, AL-X, Tucano France, Tucano Egypt, CBA-123 and SIVAM Programs. Currently, among others, is director in the Competitiveness of the Department and Technology and also of the Defense and Security of FIESP, he is also Counselor at Foreign Trade Association of Brazil, member of the High Council of the Brazilian Aerospace Agency, and also in the Management Committees of Sectorial Funds of Aeronautic and Space.
